Dear CBC Family,

Mayor Flowers issued a directive to reopen Eureka, MO on May 4, 2020 and St. Louis County is reopening May 18th.  After several days of prayer, speaking with the deacons and several key leaders we have decided to REOPEN the church on Sunday, May 17th.  While we will be open, there are several temporary changes we are making to meet (and exceed) state and local guidelines.  We also want to ensure the safety of our church family in having a positive worship experience.  Here are the temporary changes for the month of May:

  • We will host our service at 10:15 AM, we encourage attendees to arrive a little early to allow time for seating.

  • Feel free to wear a mask if you want for your safety and the safety of others.

  • Please enter through the foyer entrance only.  There will be ushers to escort and seat each family.  Please try to have all your family with you when you enter the building so we can seat your family at the same time.

  • Seating will begin from the front to the back of the sanctuary, so you may not get your favorite seat.

  • We are asking everyone to maintain a six foot (6’) distance between family units while you are on the church campus.

  • Please do not enter the fellowship hall or the educational space as we are trying to limit cleaning needs.

  • The only restrooms open to attendees will be the ones outside the gymnasium.  We ask that only one person or family unit at a time enter the restroom to maintain social distancing.  We will have helpers to clean the restrooms between each use.

  • There will be no nursery or childcare at this time.

  • There will be no Children’s Sermon at this time.

  • There will be no Children’s Church at this time.

  • There will be no Sunday School at this time.

  • There will be no coffee or other food items served by the church at this time. (You may bring your own coffee, but please make sure your cup has a lid).

  • There will be no Wednesday night activities at this time.

  • Each week the church will be sanitized for the safety of your family.

We understand that the decision to attend the service on campus is a personal decision for you and your family.  Please DO NOT feel any pressure from us to attend in person.  To help you with this decision, we will continue streaming the worship service at 10:15 AM on Sunday mornings.  Our services will be streamed on YouTube and linked to our Facebook account.  If you are not feeling well or have any underlying health concerns, please stay home and worship with us online.

We want to thank our CBC family for your continued patience, your gracious financial giving, your willingness to serve in unconventional ways, and your prayers during this COVID-19 journey.  We will continue to monitor local and state guidelines, keeping you informed on any and all changes that we need to make as we move forward.
